Try to beat your score from last time! Remember, short and frequent practice is better than a cram session.
Work on assignments written in your Practice Journal, and log practice time each day you play piano. Don’t forget the 100 days started over in a January! Try to work up a guesstimated tally of your practice days the last 6 weeks if you haven’t been tracking them so we can work on our new goal 👍
Aim for 3 days this week, it can help to plan them into your schedule ahead of time, even if it’s just 20 minutes!
Have fun! 🙂
Progress
I know things have been busy lately, but I am still always so blown away at how well you’re doing, even when you don’t have a lot of time to practice.
Now that we’re done with Christmas it will be a lot easier to devote more time to our core pieces 👏
Make sure to work on your theory this week, my plan for that is to continue working ahead and finish that book early so we can go a little deeper and start working on compositions 🙂
Recital
I haven’t chosen a date for our spring recital (probably April/May), but the theme will be the same “Night at the Movies” we were working on pre-pandemic.
Due to COVID, we’ll be doing a “virtual” performance again.
We discussed doing Dancing Queen, and I Will Always Love You; I think these are great choices! Let me know if you have any other ideas!
As we get further down the road, please let me know if there are questions I can answer, or anything I can do to help make your recital pieces a success!
